Gendered Vessels 2020
Working to a live brief, we were asked by SchoolsOUT UK to consider new ways of intergrating LGBT themes into the social mainstream.

We decided that our focus of research was to be how drinking culture is innately Gendered, and wanted to highlight the semantics of the culture through a short video which SchoolsOUT would be able to use for training on the topic.
From this i wanted to explore if there were links between the way we process the silhouette of a glass and associations to the human form. Using a python similarity and difference algorithm, i was able to rank a selection of historical glasses in the v&a in accordance to their gender similarity.  The results correlated with a human group trail.
